Homemade Honey Vanilla Almond Butter

Nut butters are one of my favorite foods, especially when mixed with some type of chocolate!  I seem to have multiple servings of nut butter daily- a dollop in a green smoothie, a blob on my toast, a dip for an apple, or just by the spoonful! Nuts and nut butters are great additions to meals or snacks as they are rich in protein and healthy fats, which help to keep you satiated for longer.

We compared nut butters and found that many nut butters are relatively similar from a nutrition standpoint, so taste preference is really what drives what type of nut butter is for you! There are so many options at the grocery store these days, it can be hard to decipher which one is the healthiest or most cost effective choice. The solution? Homemade nut butters.

Nut butter comparison

Head down the grocery aisle today and you’ll find a variety of nut butters and spreads, Peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter and sunflower seed butter just to name a few. And we cannot forget the most nutritious of them all…cookie butter! Ok, just kidding.
