Adair Kitchen Review + a Giveaway!

We are back continuing our series of restaurants in Houston that promote a healthy lifestyle! We previously looked at Caracol and Dish Society, and today, we are reviewing one of my favorite places – Adair Kitchen! You will likely see my husband and I at Adair’s at least once a month. We love the food that they serve and have not had a bad meal there!


Adair’s focus on fresh, high quality ingredients makes it one of the best restaurants in the city (in my opinion). Whether you are in the mood for breakfast, lunch, dinner or would rather try one of their specialty fresh- squeezed juices, there are a ton of options that make healthy eating possible. Like the places we have highlighted in our series so far, Adair Kitchen is extremely accommodating for any requests you may have to alter your meal to meet your needs.

We spoke with the staff at Adair Kitchen to learn more about their menu, and they were very willing to share with us information about their dishes. They even shared the ingredient lists and names of a few entrees that were less than 500 calories, and we are excited to share those with our HBH readers.

My personal favorite at Adair’s is the Superfoods Bowl. In line with their entire menu, this dish contains whole ingredients without any artificial or processed ingredients. This bowl is a hearty meal complete with kale, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, avocado, red onion, and brown rice topped with a delicious Ginger Miso dressing. If you are looking for a nutritious lunch or dinner, I highly recommend this bowl. I usually add salmon or chicken to round out my meal, but it is incredible even by itself.

For breakfast, try the Balsamic Eggs which is 2 eggs poached with balsamic vinegar and asparagus or the Avocado Mash which is described as fresh French bread topped with mashed avocados with lime and basil, sliced tomatoes, eggs any style and goat cheese. Is your mouth watering yet?

If you are looking for a healthier option at lunch or dinner besides the Superfoods Bowl, I recommend the Salmon Farro, Harvest Salad, Tortilla Soup or Green Enchiladas (omit the rice and beans and choose a green salad instead for a lower calorie entree).

One other aspect of Adair Kitchen that I enjoy is how easy it is to order one of their meals for take out. If you are having a busy evening and need to eat out, I highly recommend ordering from them. The process of ordering and pick up is seamless, and my husband and I have utilized this many times when cooking at home was not realistic for our schedule that evening!
